Tirzepatide 10 mg Dual-chamber cartridge in Europe | LIFE supplies Tirzepatide in a dual-chamber research format containing 10 mg of lyophilised peptide and a separately stored diluent. After activation, the cartridge provides a final volume of 1 mL.

Tirzepatide in dual-chamber format

Tirzepatide is a dual incretin receptor agonist with activity at two metabolic receptor systems:

GIP receptor
GLP-1 receptor

Its combined receptor profile has made Tirzepatide an important reference compound in metabolic research, particularly in studies of glucose regulation, appetite signalling, body-weight physiology and incretin biology.

Mechanistically, Tirzepatide sits between single-pathway GLP-1 compounds such as Semaglutide and broader triple agonists such as Retatrutide. This makes it especially useful in research comparing single-, dual- and multi-receptor incretin strategies.

The dual-chamber version contains the same Tirzepatide research compound as our conventional Tirzepatide 10 mg vial, but uses a different preparation format. Instead of supplying the lyophilised peptide in a vial and the diluent separately, both components are housed within one cartridge while remaining physically separated until activation.

This provides the convenience of an integrated cartridge without transporting or storing Tirzepatide as a premixed peptide solution.

Lyophilized during transportation

Peptides are generally less stable after they have been dissolved. Premixed solutions begin their post-reconstitution stability period before reaching the laboratory and may be more affected by transport time, temperature changes and mechanical stress.

The dual-chamber cartridge keeps Tirzepatide lyophilised and physically separated from the liquid diluent until activation. This retains the principal transport advantage of a conventional freeze-dried vial while integrating both components into a single cartridge.

The cartridge should still be protected from excessive heat. Refrigerated storage at 2–8°C is recommended for long-term storage.

Simplified preparation

A conventional vial requires a separate diluent, volume calculation and liquid transfer. The dual-chamber cartridge contains a predetermined diluent volume and allows the two components to combine inside the cartridge.

This reduces separate preparation steps and the possibility of:

selecting the wrong diluent volume;
losing material during transfer;
excessive agitation or foaming;
contamination during handling;
producing an unintended final concentration.

A specifically compatible reusable device is required for activation. Compatibility with conventional insulin pens should not be assumed.

Concentration: 10 mg in 1 mL

After activation, the cartridge contains 10 mg Tirzepatide in a final volume of 1 mL:

10 mg ÷ 1 mL = 10 mg/mL

This is twice the concentration of a conventional 10 mg vial prepared with 2 mL.

Preparation	Concentration	Quantity in 0.1 mL
10 mg in 1 mL	10 mg/mL	1 mg
10 mg in 2 mL	5 mg/mL	0.5 mg

Calculations prepared for a 2 ml solution cannot be applied directly to the cartridge. For the same research quantity, the required liquid volume from the 1 ml cartridge is half as large.

Important

The cartridge is not supplied as a premixed peptide solution. It is intended strictly for laboratory and analytical research and is not intended for human or veterinary use.

Research context

Tirzepatide is designed to activate both GIP and GLP-1 receptors.

GIP signalling contributes to glucose-dependent insulin secretion, incretin activity and nutrient metabolism.
GLP-1 signalling is associated with glucose-dependent insulin secretion, appetite regulation and gastric emptying.

The combined GIP/GLP-1 mechanism has made Tirzepatide one of the main benchmark compounds in modern incretin research.

Published research has investigated Tirzepatide extensively in metabolic conditions including obesity and type 2 diabetes, with particular interest in glycaemic regulation, body-weight change and the interaction between the GIP and GLP-1 signalling pathways.

Product characteristics

Compound: Tirzepatide

The peptide and diluent remain physically separated within the cartridge until activation.

The cartridge is not supplied as a premixed Tirzepatide solution.

Tirzepatide vial or dual-chamber cartridge?

Both formats contain Tirzepatide for laboratory research. The principal difference is how the peptide and diluent are supplied.

Standard Tirzepatide vial

The peptide is supplied as conventional lyophilised powder in a sealed vial. Diluent is obtained separately and the required volume must be transferred into the vial during laboratory preparation.

Tirzepatide dual-chamber cartridge

The lyophilised peptide and a predetermined volume of diluent are contained in separate chambers of the same cartridge. They remain separated during storage and transportation and are combined only when the cartridge is activated.

The dual-chamber format therefore retains the principal stability advantage of transporting Tirzepatide in lyophilised form while reducing the number of separate components and preparation steps required.

Researchers who prefer conventional laboratory preparation can choose our Tirzepatide 10 mg vial.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Tirzepatide dual-chamber cartridge contain?

Each cartridge contains 10 mg of lyophilised Tirzepatide and a separately contained diluent. The two components remain physically separated until activation.

Is the Tirzepatide already mixed with liquid?

No. Tirzepatide remains lyophilised during storage and transportation. The liquid is held in a separate chamber and only contacts the peptide when the cartridge is activated.

What is the final concentration?

After activation, 10 mg of Tirzepatide is contained in a final volume of 1 mL, giving a concentration of 10 mg/mL.

Is this the same Tirzepatide as the standard vial?

Yes. The distinction is the presentation and preparation format. The standard product supplies Tirzepatide in a conventional vial, while this product uses a dual-chamber cartridge.

Does the cartridge fit a standard insulin pen?

Compatibility with conventional insulin pens should not be assumed. The cartridge requires a specifically compatible reusable dual-chamber device.

Why use a dual-chamber cartridge instead of a premixed cartridge?

The peptide remains freeze-dried until activation. Peptides are generally more stable in lyophilised form than after reconstitution, making it preferable to keep the peptide and liquid separated during storage and transportation.

Where can I find detailed Tirzepatide research information?

Our standard Tirzepatide 10 mg page contains the complete research overview, including receptor activity, published clinical findings, safety and tolerability findings, research dosing schedules, comparisons with other incretin compounds and published references.

Is this product intended for human use?

No. This product is supplied strictly for laboratory and analytical research and is not intended for human or veterinary use.
