Semaglutide 10 mg Dual-chamber cartridge in Europe | LIFE supplies Semaglutide in a dual-chamber research format containing 10 mg of lyophilised peptide and a separately stored diluent. After activation, the cartridge provides a final volume of 1 mL.

Semaglutide in dual-chamber format

Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist and one of the most extensively studied compounds in metabolic research.

Its selective GLP-1 activity has made it an important reference peptide in studies investigating:

Appetite regulation and food intake
Glucose metabolism and insulin signalling
Body-weight regulation
Gastric emptying
Cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes

Unlike Tirzepatide, which activates both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, or Retatrutide, which also targets the glucagon receptor, Semaglutide acts selectively on the GLP-1 receptor.

The dual-chamber version contains the same Semaglutide research compound as our conventional vial but uses a different preparation format. Instead of supplying the lyophilised peptide and diluent separately, both components are housed within a single cartridge while remaining physically isolated until activation.

This combines the convenience of an integrated cartridge with the advantages of transporting Semaglutide in its freeze-dried state.

Lyophilised during transportation

Peptide stability is an important consideration during storage and transportation. Once dissolved, peptides can become more sensitive to temperature changes, storage time, agitation and other environmental conditions. Premixed peptide cartridges may spend days or weeks in solution before reaching their destination.

The dual-chamber system takes a different approach. Semaglutide remains lyophilised throughout transportation, while the diluent is contained in a separate sealed chamber. The two components are combined only when the cartridge is activated.

This avoids transporting Semaglutide as a premixed solution and reduces the time the peptide spends dissolved before laboratory research.

The format does not eliminate temperature sensitivity. Protection from excessive heat remains important, and refrigerated storage at 2–8°C is recommended, subject to the product’s storage instructions.

Simplified laboratory preparation

Conventional lyophilised vials require a separately supplied diluent, volume measurement and liquid transfer.

The dual-chamber cartridge integrates these components into a single system.

Its predetermined diluent volume reduces the number of separate preparation steps and opportunities for:

Incorrect diluent-volume selection
Material loss during liquid transfer
Excessive agitation during preparation
Handling-related contamination
Unintended variations in final concentration

The peptide and diluent combine inside the cartridge when activated using a compatible reusable device.

Important: A specifically compatible dual-chamber device is required. Compatibility with conventional insulin pens should not be assumed.

Concentration: 10 mg in 1 mL

Following activation, the cartridge contains 10 mg of Semaglutide in a final volume of 1 mL.

10 mg ÷ 1 mL = 10 mg/mL

This concentration is twice that of a conventional 10 mg vial prepared with 2 mL of diluent.

Preparation	Concentration	Quantity in 0.1 mL
10 mg in 1 mL	10 mg/mL	1 mg
10 mg in 2 mL	5 mg/mL	0.5 mg

The fixed 1 mL volume should be considered when preparing laboratory concentration calculations. Calculations based on a 2 mL preparation cannot be transferred directly to the dual-chamber format.

Important: The cartridge is not supplied as a premixed peptide solution or an approved injectable medicine. It is intended strictly for laboratory and analytical research, not for human or veterinary use.

Research context

Semaglutide is a synthetic analogue of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone involved in glucose regulation, appetite signalling and gastrointestinal function. Its molecular modifications provide a substantially longer duration of biological activity than naturally occurring GLP-1.

Published clinical research has investigated Semaglutide across several major programmes, including:

STEP: Body-weight regulation and obesity research
SUSTAIN: Glycaemic control and type 2 diabetes
SELECT: Cardiovascular outcomes in people with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity

These programmes established Semaglutide as an important reference compound for the development of newer incretin-based therapies.

The clinical findings concern pharmaceutical Semaglutide formulations evaluated in controlled studies and do not establish the clinical safety, efficacy or equivalence of this research cartridge.

Product characteristics

Compound: Semaglutide
Quantity: 10 mg
Format: Dual-chamber research cartridge
Peptide state before activation: Lyophilised
Final volume after activation: 1 mL
Final concentration: 10 mg/mL
Application: Laboratory and analytical research

The peptide and diluent remain physically separated within the cartridge until activation.

The cartridge is not supplied as a premixed Semaglutide solution.

Semaglutide vial or dual-chamber cartridge?

Both formats contain Semaglutide intended for laboratory research. The principal difference is how the peptide and diluent are supplied.

Standard Semaglutide vial

Semaglutide is supplied as lyophilised powder in a conventional sealed vial. The diluent is obtained separately and transferred into the vial during laboratory preparation. This format offers greater flexibility when selecting the final research concentration and preparation volume.

Semaglutide dual-chamber cartridge

The lyophilised peptide and a predetermined volume of diluent are supplied in separate chambers within the same cartridge. The components remain isolated until activation, eliminating the need for a separate liquid-transfer step.

The principal advantages are:

Lyophilised peptide during transportation
Integrated diluent chamber
Fewer separate preparation steps
Predetermined final concentration
Compatibility with a dedicated reusable cartridge device

Researchers who prefer conventional laboratory preparation can choose our Semaglutide 10 mg standard vial.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Semaglutide dual-chamber cartridge contain?

Each cartridge contains 10 mg of lyophilised Semaglutide and a separately stored diluent. The components remain physically separated until activation.

Is the Semaglutide already mixed with liquid?

No. Semaglutide remains freeze-dried during storage and transportation. The diluent is held in a separate chamber and only contacts the peptide when the cartridge is activated.

What is the final concentration?

After activation, the cartridge contains 10 mg of Semaglutide in a final volume of 1 mL, giving a concentration of 10 mg/mL.

Is this the same Semaglutide as the standard vial?

Both products contain the Semaglutide molecule. The difference is the packaging and preparation format. The standard version uses a conventional vial, while the dual-chamber version incorporates the lyophilised material and diluent into one cartridge.

Does the cartridge fit a standard insulin pen?

Compatibility with conventional insulin pens should not be assumed. A specifically compatible reusable dual-chamber device is required.

Why choose a dual-chamber cartridge instead of a premixed cartridge?

The main advantage is that Semaglutide remains freeze-dried until activation. The stability of dissolved peptides depends on formulation and environmental conditions. Keeping the peptide separate from its diluent avoids the additional storage and transportation period in solution associated with premixed products.

Does the dual-chamber format improve Semaglutide stability?

The format preserves the practical advantage of transporting the peptide in lyophilised form. However, the actual stability and shelf life depend on the complete formulation, packaging and storage conditions.

Where can I find detailed Semaglutide research information?

Our standard Semaglutide 10 mg product page provides a more extensive overview of GLP-1 receptor activity, published clinical research, safety findings and comparisons with other metabolic peptides.

Is this product intended for human use?

No. This product is supplied exclusively for laboratory and analytical research. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, diagnosis or therapeutic application.
